I have decided during the design process that I need to rebrand the National Portrait Gallery in order to maximise the projects potential.
From the design of previous covers I have decided that the identity of the exhibition needs to be simplified
and the use of a brand can draw the whole project together.
Looking at the previous, I believe the brand needs to be a little more cultured.
I designed a more simple cover and from this decided that a more minimal colour pallet is required.
The new brand is constructed to be subtle minimal, cultural and effective.
I have made the brand below by using simple shape to construct a brand that reflects portraits a frame and a face made of simple shape, I shall refine this idea.
I have attempted below to contain the appropriate information etc. I have made several variations positioning text within the frame along the outside removing the frame entirely etc.
